Payroll in xero New Pay Run. Find out how to check transactions and fix errors. Set up your access as a Payroll Admin, then add employees and pay items such as ordinary pay and tax. First, connect Xero with Gusto and map your chart of accounts. Add employees as contacts in Xero, including information such as their wage rate, bank account details, tax number, email, and postal address. In Xero HQ, select the Payroll tab to see payroll clients needing attention. You can choose the list of clients you want to see in Xero HQ. Depending on your user role, you can also customise the list of clients your staff sees. Earlier pay runs and pay runs not yet filed show at the top of the list.

When adding clients to a staff member, if you see ‘Unavailable’ next to their name, the client either doesn’t have a Xero organisation, or they don’t have Payroll in their Xero organisation. Insights can include issues with pay runs or employee-related details that need attention. You can either view the details of an insight first or go straight to the area that needs looking at. Click a panel to get information on what needs attention in that pay run.

Overview Use the Payroll tab in Xero HQ to get insights on pay runs needing attention for your clients. In Xero HQ, select the Payroll tab. Click Add Payroll clients.

Click Add client. Select the checkbox next to each client you want to add. Click Add. Choose clients for other staff members If you have the administrator or master administrator user role , you can choose the clients each staff member sees on their Payroll tab.

Click Manage Client list. View details for each pay run Click a panel to get information on what needs attention in that pay run. You can click Go to employee to review the alerts, and make any necessary adjustments to pay rates, leave allowances, super or bonuses.
